Richard Aguilar | Director of Outreach Ministries
Rev. Richard Aguilar was called by the mercy of God as a 14-year-old teenager in Ecuador when he heard the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ at a Summer Camp. After that experience, he became eager to discover Biblical answers to questions about God and the purposes of life. By God’s Providence, he contacted a Christian Radio Station, HCJB, which guided him in deeper ways to Christ through the Gospel.
Richard later studied Communications at Christian Center of Communications – HCJB/ Northwestern College in Quito, Ecuador. In 1988, he married Cindy and together they have been blessed with four grown young men, two daughters-in-law, and two grandchildren.
In 1993 Richard felt called to the ministry. The Lord opened doors for him to attend Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando where he was awarded the Master of Divinity degree. After fulfilling all the requirements to be a Minister of the Word, he was ordained in the Presbyterian Church of Ecuador on May 24, 1998.
By the grace of God, for the last 22 years Pastor Aguilar has served His Church and Kingdom offering hope and encouragement by preaching and counseling, leading discipleship and pastoral training programs, and speaking at conferences and retreats. He is grateful to the Lord for the privilege of having served as a pastor, church planter, theology professor, missions mentor, and United Bible Society board member.
Finally, Pastor Aguilar believes:
“the purpose of life unveils our deepest affection for the Lord, all for the glory of God. In this way nothing is diminished because everything is for the honor and glory of God: our relationships, our jobs and callings, our responsibilities and efforts, our joys and sadness’s, the small and bigger things--everything! Nothing is left behind as all is done for the glory of God.”
