WEDNESDAY NIGHT ACTIVITIES
The Wednesday night activities will continue this Wednesday,September 1st. Bring a covered dish and join us for the fun! Supper begins at 6:00 pm in the fellowship hall, followed by a time of prayer and Bible Study that concludes at 7:30 pm. Children’s and youth activities are also offered during this time.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SERVICE
The Nominating Committee is working on its suggested ballot for Elders and Deacons for the coming year. If you have any suggestions for them, please fill out a recommendation form that is available on the visitor table. Bobby Lawton is Chairman of this year’s nominating committee.
PRAYER PALS
Prayer pals is a chance for an adult within the congregation to pray for a child and their family as they progress throughout the school year, to find out how the child is doing in school, and pray for them when they have big tests coming up etc. This opportunity serves as a great encouragement to the parent as well as the child! KIDS’ CLUB
Each Wednesday we will have a weekly kids’ club for children. This group is designed for kindergarten-5th grade. Through the fall we will be learning about different Heroes of the Bible. The time for the club will be 6:30-7:30pm.
KID’S QUEST
This is a catechism class we will be starting soon. This group is also designed for kindergarten-5th grade and will take place on Sunday morning. More details to follow soon.
KIRKING SERVICE SCHEDULED FOR SEPT.12
Our 19th annual Kirkin’ o’ the Tartans service, held during the 11:00 a.m. worship service, is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 12. This special service highlights the Scottish heritage of our denomination and will include a bagpiper and drummer, participation by some of the members of the 78th Fraser Regiment of Foot, and a processional and recessional of the Scottish flags and tartan banners by church members. If you would like to carry one of the tartan banners in this special service, please see Dave Jackson or contact him at 770-402-6655.
