Kids Hope USA is a program that connects adult mentors with children in local schools.
Thank you to all our mentors and their prayer partners for another life changing year of mentoring at Peachtree Elementary School. The school staff and teachers also extend their thanks for helping change the lives of these children – one life at a time!
For the 2015-2016 school year, we are especially looking to add some men to our team in the fall, since so many of the children in need of a mentor are boys from single mom homes.
If you feel the Lord leading you to possibly be a part of this incredible outreach opportunity/ministry or you have questions, please contact Ann Crenshaw at the church office (770-263-7005) so we can schedule a training session and complete other necessary requirements for becoming a mentor before the school year starts.
Initial requirements involve completing a volunteer mentor application and personal reference form, being background checked, having a face to face interview with the director (Ann Crenshaw), and attending a one-time 3½ hour training at the church before school begins in the fall. Then you will be matched with a child who needs academic help and/or help with social skills and will need to commit to spending one hour a week with that child at the school during the school year.
If you have questions, or would like to be part of this life-changing ministry, contact Ann Crenshaw at the church.
